It is a decisive factor to the development of public health and hospitals in ruralareas that the township hospital (health hospital) doctors have been the actualmedical service provider and the mainstay of rural health work. Currently, on onehand, the quality of township hospital doctors is still in a lower level and the workability can not meet the needs of the development of rural health service; on theother hand, it is a serious phenomenon that talents are not attracted by the townshiphospitals in our country and most of them lost to other places. Therefore, therelationship between the overall quality of township hospital doctors and theirintention to continue the job has become a problem that should be realized andsolved urgently.Our country is in times whose economic system and social structure arechanging deeply, and the social transformation is in speed which brings a significantinfluence to the thought idea and behavior intend of the township hospital doctors.On this basis, the doctor’s thought condition and the medical ethics situation alsopresent many new contradictions and features. So, it is an important problem of thispaper that to strengthen the ideological and political education whether can producea positive effect to improve the doctor’s quality and job intention.This article consists of five parts.The first part starts from the quality of people, analyzes the constitute of doctors’quality, reveals the relationship between the doctors’ quality and their intention tocontinue the job combined with the theoretical quality models, and put forward the hypothesis finally.The second part elaborates the meaning of the ideological and politicaleducation, analyzes the main content of hospital ideological and political educationpresently, and reveals the relationship between the hospital ideological politicseducation and the job intention of township hospital doctors.The third part discusses the effect on the enhancement of doctors’ quality thatmade by hospital ideological and political education, including the positive impact ofthe doctors’ ideological and political quality, professional ethics quality, professionalknowledge and skills quality, and mental quality.The fourth part further validates the hypothesis through the empiricalinvestigation and analysis, and quantifies the mutual relationship between the quality,ideological and political education and the intention to continue the job of townshiphospital doctors.The fifth part, based on the above theory and facts, puts forward some practicalsuggestions and measures about how to strengthen the ideological and politicaleducation of township hospital doctors.
