Clinical Research Of Shen-Jing Granules In The Treatment Of Children’s Recurrent Respiratory Tract Infections With Qi And Yin Deficiency

Objective:To evaluate the curative effect and safety of Shen-jing granules in the treatment of children’s Recurrent Respiratory Tract Infections with Qi and Yin deficiency.Methods:110cases were selected and divided into2groups randomly. The treatment group with74cases was given Shen-jing granules for one month while the control group with36cases was given Pidotimod oral liguid, both groups were be followed up for6months.Results:70cases in the treatment group and35cases in the other had completed the experiment in the end. Before the treatment, the treatment group and the control group have no significant differences in sex and age composition, incidence conditions, symptom and signs, comparable(P>0.05).6months after the end of treatment, the general integral has declined and the TCM syndrome has improved in both groups, P<0.05(compared with before treatment). Total effective rate of treatment group was95.71%and82.86%in the control group, there were no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05). Total effective rate of TCM syndrome manifestations was91.43%in the treatment group aand74.29%in the other, the difference was significant(P<0.05). Treatment group do better in improving the main symptoms, such as anorexia, constipation, except hyperhidrosis. There was one case of adverse event in the control group and non in the treatment group.Conclusion:Shen-jing granules is a effective and safe method in treating children’s Recurrent Respiratory Tract Infections with Qi and yin deficiency, which not only shorten the course of infection, reduce clinical symptoms and the diseases frequency, but also can improve TCM syndrome.
