Objective:To investigate the expression level of KLF5and the ectopic expression level of β-catenin in human normal colorectal tissue、atypical hyperplasia and colorectal cancer tissue, and furthemore to study the difference amang them, and also the relationship between the degree of differentiation、the depth of infiltration、lymphatic node metastasis or distant metastasis of colorectal cancer and the expression of KLf5or the ectopic expression of P-catenin in human colorectal cancer, and the correlation between KLF5with β-catenin. So as to provide a reference to diagnosis and prognosis of colorectal cancer, and its treatment of research. Methods:We selected45surgical specimens of resected human colorectal cancer、20normal colorectal tissue and20atypical hyperplasia tissue.Immunohistochemistry was used to detect KLF5and β-catenin in colorectal cancer、normal colorectal tissue and atypical hyperplasia. Results:The expression positive rate of KLF5in colorectal cancer normal colorectal tissue and atypical hyperplasia is68.9%(31/45),35%(7/20),20%(4/20), respectively. The positive rate of KLF5in colorectal cancer tissues was significantly higher than in normal colorectal tissue and atypical hyperplasia of colorectal, and the difference was of statistically significant (P<0.05); There is no significant difference between the expression positive rate of KLF5in normal colorectal tissue and that in atypical hyperplasia (P>0.05).The ectopic expression (in cell membrane or nucleus) positive rate of (3-catenin n in colorectal cancer、normal colorectal tissue and atypical hyperplasia is77.8%(35/45),35%(7/20),15%(3/20).The ectopic positive rate of (3-catenin in colorectal cancer tissues was significantly higher than in normal colorectal tissue and atypical hyperplasia tissue, and the difference was of statistically significant (P<0.05); There is no different berween the expression ectopic positive rate of β-catenin in normal colorectal tissue and atypical hyperplasia of colorectal(P>0.05).The expression positive rate of KLF5and the ectopic expression positive rate of β-catenin in different gender、age and position of the tissue is of no significant difference (P>0.05),while their expression have relationship with the degree of differentiation、the depth of infiltration,、 lymphatic node metastasis、distant metastasis. The expression of KLF5and the ectopic expression of (3-catenin in colorectal cancer tissues are positively correlated (r=0.622, P<0.05).Conclusion:KLF5and (3-catenin are positively correlated and are expressed higher in colorectal cancer, their expression have relationship with the degree of differentiation、the depth of infiltration, lymphatic node metastasis、distant metastasis. The expression of KLF5and β-catenin in colorectal cancer maybe involved in the carcinogenesis and development of colorectal cancer.and may be an important tumor marker and an important indicator of prognosis.
