Objective: To study the therapeutical effect of the decoction of Bu-shen-hua-yu onperipheral menopause syndrome(PMS) diagnosed deficiency of kidney and blood stasissyndrome, and to explore its action mechanism. Methods: We selected60patients withPMS, observe the clinical symptoms’ improvement after treatment and detect theconcentration of E2、FSH、LH、β-EP、PTH、CT、 IL-2in the blood. Results:The clinicalsymptoms are significantly improved and the clinical total efficiency is93.33%.Theimprovement of Kupperman scores is very significant (P<0.01). After treatment, theconcentration of FSH, LH in the blood is lowered, while the concentration of E2in theblood is raised (P<0.05). The concentration of β-EP、CT、IL-2is significantly evaluatedafter treatment,while the PTH are remarkably reduced(P<0.05). Conclusions:Bu-shen-hua-yu on peri-menopausal period of liver syndrome has good therapeutic effect,Can effectively relieve some menopausal symptoms such as tidal fever with sweating, acheof the waist and knees, limb pain or numbness, its role is to correct the disorder from theendocrine and autonomic, and to the blood rheology and microcirculation, strengthenimmune system and improve the imbalance of bone metabolism directly or indirectly.
