Traditional Chinese medicine has accumulated a wealth of experience on thediagnosis and treatment of pediatric epilepsy in the long medical practice, and its efficacyis obvious. But for a variety of reasons,at present such as types of epilepsy syndromes thereexist a lot of dispute, this also affect clinical syndrome differentiation and treatment ofstandardization. Objectives:Through the investigation of the75clinical cases of pediatric epilepsy, exploring the correlation between syndrome key factors of TCM and clinical features ofepilepsy in children, to provide an objective basis for the treatment of this disease, but alsoa future reference for pattern identification and treatment. Methods:Through the review of previous literatures, and combined with the feedbackinformation in clinical investigation, establishing relevant database, using SPSS16.0Statistical Package for relative data processing with descriptive analysis and frequencyanalysis, getting the correlation between syndrome key factors of TCM and clinical featuresof epilepsy in children.Results:1.General information: men and women ratio is1.586:1, the age of onsetconcentrates1to3years old;2.The characteristics of TCM syndrome factors distribution: thewind syndrome factor for children of epilepsy is the most frequent element, accounting for34.67%of all cases, the spirit syndrome factor accounts for20.00%, the sputum syndromefactor accounts for16.00%, the deficiency syndrome factor accounts for9.33%, the heatsyndrome factor accounts for8.00%, the pneuma syndrome factor accounts for8.00%, theblood stasis factor accounts for4.00%.Conclusions:The wind, the spirit and the sputum syndrome factors occupy the threemost significant positions in the TCM syndrome factors of pediatric epilepsy, and the wind factor has correlations with the anamneses and the hour of epilepsy attack, all of the TCMsyndrome factors and the clinical symptoms have certain correlations.
