Objective: To observe clinical efficacy for treating Damp-heat eczema and impact ontype IV allergy by LongDan Mixture(LDM); explore the therapy mechanism of LDM inDamp-heat eczema. Method: clinical research:60patients were separated at random intogroup with LDM and group with soft capsule of LongDanXieGan. During4weeks’treatments, the clinical efficacy were compared. In the animal experiment,Ⅳallergic reaction model was constructed. After devided into group at random, saline, prednisone and LDM were given respectively. The ears weight difference of the mice inthe five groups was observed.Another10mice do not have DNCB-induced dermatitis, onlynormal saline were used as normal control. The diffierent group of CGRP concentrationwas observed. Result: Compared with group with soft capsule of LongDanXieGan, thecure rate is66.67%with total effect rate of100%and the cure rates of two groups hadsignificant difference (P<0.05), the total effect rate of no significant difference (P>0.05).The experiment shows that LDM can remarkably restrain Ⅳallergic reaction. Conclusion: Treating Damp-heat eczema with LDM has reliable efficacy and lowrecurrence rate. Restraining Ⅳallergic reaction may be its mechanism.
