Objective:This project is to study Fu’s Subcutaneous Needling’s effect in treatingosteoarthritis in the early and middle stage, and its advantages over routine acupuncture, with a purpose to find a more efficient, convenient, and effective and less painful way, which could be applied in the clinical treatment.Methods:Selected60cases of patients with osteoarthritis, they are divided into Fu’sSubcutaneous Needling treatment group and routine acupuncture control group randomly,30cases in each group. The two groups are treated for two courses; a course of treatmentlasts six days, one day’s rest after each therapeutic course. According to the WOMACosteoarthritis index score and visual analog score (VAS), VAS value is observed beforetreatment, after the first treatment and at the end of the two treatments, meanwhile, thescore of clinical symptoms and signs is also recorded and commented before and at the endof the two treatments, two groups of patients are compared between and in groups.Results:Efficiency:100%of the observation group,80%of the control group; thechange of VAS value: after the first treatment, between and in groups comparison showssignificant difference,(P<0.05); the score of clinical symptoms and signs: between groupsdifference is significant (P<0.05); in groups difference is not significant(P>0.05).Conclusion:Studies have shown that two groups of methods can be effective treatmentsfor osteoarthritis, but the observation group excels the control group in the total efficiency, analgesia, the improvement of clinical symptoms and signs. This study will enrich theclinical research basis of the Fu’s Subcutaneous Needling, propose new ideas forosteoarthritis treatment, which is of clinical and theoretical significance.
