The Application Of ICF Entries Extracted With WOMAC As Reference In The Functional Evaluation Of Patients With Knee Osteoarthritis

Objective:The disease of Knee Osteoarthritis has high incidence in old people.It affects their low limb function and daily life severely.WOMAC is the special health-status instrument to assess function and ability of KOA.It has been used in clinical practice largely.The reliability and validity had been tested many times.But the discrepancy between different countries is exist and can not be avoid.So,communication and analysis will been hindered.This research aims to pick items from ICF according to WOMAC through the Link rule of ICF.Taking the new ICF items into clinical practice to make sure its application.Proving more international and standardal instruments to assess function and ability of the patients of KOA.Method: According to the rule and WOMAC,two researchers picking the ICF items separately.The third researcher compared the different results and refered to the experts' s suggestions.Validated The final result's reliability and validity.Including 24 hours test-retest?clinical tests.Result:1.23 concepts had picked from WOAMC,and they are linked to 27 ICF items.2.The Kappa show that consistency is really high between two researchers.3.And there has strong positive correlation between ICF and WOAMC except stiffness to body function.4.The Inherent reliability is good in function and activity dimensions of ICF.The structure dimension is not involved because only one item it has.5.The test-retest reliability is also very good.The ICC are all more than o.7.Conclusion:1.The "evaluation of the knee osteoarthritis function ICF items" which were translated from WOMAC according to international linking rule had great reliability and validity.2.The result of ICF items had high correlated with the result of WOMAC.And it can be used as a new clinical tool.3.ICF items we got in the study,as an international language,can be used in different countries.
