Objective: The purpose of the subject is to research releasing acupoints around theneck by acupotomy to correct the cervical lordosis for the treatment of cervical spondylosisof vertebral artery, and to explore effective and safe treatment of vertebral artery type ofcervical spondylosis new program. Methods: Using the study methods of random, control and single-blind. Chosing theQianFoshan hospital of Shandong province,MinZu hospital of Jinan and ZhangqiuHospital of TCM as research centers.62cases of nerve root type cervical spondylosis were randomly divided intoexperimental group and control group of31cases. The treatment group was treated byreleasing acupoints around neck with acupotomy. The control group was treated byreleasing cervical segments with acupotomy. Treatment time: treat one time every fivedays, three times as a course of treatment, evaluate the effect after one course oftreatment,following-up for3months. The control group atlantooccipital, atlantoaxial area, suboccipital triangle and star-shaped section of the Ministry into acupotomy, bench or seatfor treatment, treatment for five days, three times for one course, together with the neckcurved spirit, each1-1.5hours, recorded by the clinical observation table. Through acomparative analysis of two groups of patients with cervical curvature change, thelong-term efficacy, relapse rate assessment, and general physiological status indicators, and adverse reactions as a security evaluation for efficacy evaluationResults: The clinical cure rate of35.5%, markedly effective rate was38.7%, the totalefficiency of96.8%; control group, clinical cure rate of29.0%, markedly effective rate was41.9%,93.6%; showed no significant difference (P>0.05); cervical curvature weredetected more significant differences (P <0.05), the treatment group was significantlybetter than the control group; three months after the review of the results: the treatment group clinical cure rate of61.3%, the total effective rate was90.3%, the recurrencerate6.5%. Control group, clinical cure rate of38.7%, the total efficiency of67.8%, therecurrence rate of25.8%. Statistical analysis, the two groups have significant difference (P<0.05).Conclusions: Compared with releasing cervical lesions segments, the treatmentmethod of releasing acupoints around neck with acupotomy has the similar effect inshort-term, better effect in long-term(3months) and lower relapse rate for treating CSA.This operation is simple and safe and has advantage in application and promotion.
