Objective: To observe the different clinical efficacy of Ankylosing Spondylitis Backaches bypuncturing Jiaji points of different directions(oblique acupuncture, perpendicular acupuncture, subcutaneous acupuncture to the spine),and discusses the correlation between acupuncture effect andthe acupuncture directions. Methods: This study selected60patients of Ankylosing SpondylitisBackaches and who were randomly divided into three groups: the oblique acupuncturegroup, the perpendicular acupuncture group and the subcutaneous acupuncture group. Eachgroup contained20cases. The oblique acupuncture group: after quickly needling into theskin, then adjust the needling direction by making needle tip toward spine at45-degreeangle with the skin, namely, oblique acupuncture; the perpendicular acupuncture group:needle directly to the Points with needle at90-degree angle, namely, perpendicularacupuncture; the subcutaneous acupuncture group: after quickly needling into the skin, adjust the needling direction by making needle tip toward spine at15-degree angle withthe needle body almost parallel to the skin, namely, the subcutaneous acupuncture. Fromtop down needle the Jiaji points alternately, such as choosing left points T1, T3, T5... Thenchoosing right points T2and T4, T6... retaining the needles for30minutes, and manipulatetwice by using uniform reinforcing-reducing acupuncture manipulation techniques. Thereare3treatments a week and are treated for4weeks. At the end of the treatment, eachgroup was compared by observing the VAS score changes of their pain and symptombefore and after the treatment to evaluate the efficacy. Result: The total effective rate of theoblique acupuncture group is100﹪,while the perpendicular acupuncture group is75﹪andthe subcutaneous acupuncture group is25﹪, there are no significant differences amongthree groups(P<0.05).VAS contrast: there is significant difference between the oblique acupuncture group with the perpendicular acupuncture group and the subcutaneousacupuncture group (P<0.05). The analgesic effect of the oblique acupuncture group isbetter than the other two groups;there is significant differences between the perpendicularacupuncture group and the subcutaneous acupuncture group (P<0.05), and the analgesiceffect of the perpendicular acupuncture group is better than the subcutaneous acupuncturegroup. Conclusion: The oblique acupuncture (towards the spine) Jiaji points has obviouscurative effect on Ankylosing Spondylitis Backaches, effective, without adverse reactionand worth promoting.
