ObjectiveTo find out the correlation between IL-17and allergic rhinitis(AR). Todeclare the pathophysiological mechanism of IL-17in AR which canconsummate the theory of AR. To provide a new view for clinic.Method112male BALB/c mice were divided into2groups: ovalbumin(OVA)group and controls(saline). The BALB/c mice allergic rhinitis models wereinduced by OVA. The symptoms about sneeze、 nasal discharge、rhinocnesmus were be observed in challenge phase. After last challenge, thepathological differences between the two groups were be surveyed. thelevels of IL-17mRNA、IL-5mRNA and IFN-γ mRNA in lymphocytes fromspleen were measured by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR).236male BALB/c mice were divided into3groups: OVA group、intervention group and controls(saline). After last challenge,the pathological differences between the three groups were be surveyed. thelevels of IL-17mRNA、IL-5mRNA and IFN-γ mRNA in lymphocytes fromspleen were measured by reverse RT-PCR.Results1In the first parts, to compare with the controls, OVA group hadmore eosinophil infiltration in the nasal cavity and sever symptoms. IL-5mRNA expression of OVA group were higher than controls(P<0.05). IL-17mRNA and IFN-γmRNA expression of OVA group were lower thancontrols(P<0.05).2In the second parts, in contrast to the others, intervention group hadsignificant eosinophil infiltration in the nasal cavity. The seversymptoms(more sneeze、nasal discharge and rhinocnesmus) of allergicrhinitis were observed in intervention group.IL-5mRNA expression ofintervention group were higher than those in the others(P<0.05). IL-17mRNA expression of controls were higher than those in the others(P<0.05).Conclusion1The model of allergic rhinitis has been successfully establish inBALB/C. The decrease of IL-17in stimulating phase of allergic rhinitis wasdemonstrated.2IL-17play an important regulatory role in allergic rhinitis byinhibiting the allergic response and the function of TH2. 3IL-17can be used to give a control to the allergic rhinitis inchallenge phase as a Medicinal.
