Objective:To study the expression of HER2protein and B7-H4protein in normalendometrial tissue(proliferative phase or secretory phase),benign hyperplasia ofendomtrial tissue(hyperplasia or complex hyperplasia), non-typical endometrialtissues and endometrial carcinoma tissues. To explore the HER2protein and B7-H4protein To investigate the expression of HER2and B7-H4protein in thetumorigenesis and progression of endometrial carcinoma. Theses two factors inendometrial cancer occur in the process of development. Methods:The expression of HER2protein and B7-H4protein were detected byimmunohistochemistry in25cases of normal endometrial tissue(proliferative phase orsecretory phase),20cases in benign hyperplasia of endomtrial tissue (hyperplasia orcomplex hyperplasia),25cases non-typical in endometrial tissues and55casesendometrial carcinoma tissues.Results:1. HER2protein was detected in normal endometrium(proliferative or secretoryphase), benign hyperplasia of endomtrial tissue(hyperplasia or complexhyperplasia),non-typical endnometrial and endometrial cancerin normal endometrium,(proliferative or secretory phase) was negative or very low while in non-typicalendnometrial and endometrial cancer can be very high. The rate of HER2proteinexpression in benign hyperplasia of endomtrial tissue(hyperplasia or complexhyperplasia) was considerably higher than that in normal endometrium(proliferativeor secretory phase)(P<0.05). The rate of HER2protein expression in non-typicalendometrial tissues was considerably higher than that benign hyperplasia ofendomtrial tissue(hyperplasia or complex hyperplasia)(P<0.05). The positiveexpression rate for HER2protein in endometrial carcinoma was so much higher thanthat in non-typical endometrial tissues(P<0.05).2. The level expression of HER2was relevant with tumor pathological staging. 3. The level expression of HER2was relevant with the age of patient and otherpathological features4.B7-H4protein was detected in normal endometrium(proliferative or secretoryphase),benign hyperplasia of endomtrial tissue(hyperplasia or complex hyperplasia),non-typical endnometrial and endometrial cancer, in normal endometrium(proliferative or secretory phase) was negative or very low while in non-typicalendnometrial and endometrial cancer can be very high. The rate of B7-H4proteinexpression in benign hyperplasia of endomtrial tissue(hyperplasia or complexhyperplasia) was considerably higher than that in normal endometrium(proliferativeor secretory phase)(P<0.05). The rate of B7-H4protein expression in non-typicalendometrial tissues was considerably higher than that benign hyperplasia ofendomtrial tissue(hyperplasia or complex hyperplasia)(P<0.05). The positiveexpression rate for B7-H4protein in endometrial carcinoma was so much higher thanthat in non-typical endometrial tissues(P<0.05).5. The level expression of B7-H4protein was relevant with tumor pathologicalstaging.6. The level expression of B7-H4protein was relevant with the age of patientand other pathological features.7.Statistical analysis show that:There was a positive correlation between HER2protein,B7-H4protein in carcinoma (r=0.31, p <0.05).Conclusions:The expression HER2protein and B7-H4protein is closely related to theoccurrence and development of endometrial cancer. HER2and B7-H4protein toparticipate in the occurrence and development of endometrial cancer. HER2andB7-H4protein can promote proliferation of endometrial cells, until the cancer. Thesetwo factors may be judged by the development of endometrial cancer markers.
