The Research On The Main Academic Thought And Clinical Experience Of Professor Xiong Manqi

Chinese Medicine is a subject with its unique process of development and characteristics. With academic thoughts and clinical experience accumulated by famous Chinese Medicine doctors in history, Chinese Medicine was promoted in every aspect of basic theory, clinical efficiency, education and research. Professor Xiong Manqi is one of the famous experts on Treatise of Febrile Disease in the South of the Five Ridges. She is also a renowned educator and clinician in the contemporary era. She studied under the famous TCM physician Professor Liu Chixuan and keep working on education, research, and clinical application of Treatise of Febrile Disease for more than30years. She has accumulated rich experience and fonded original academic thoughts.This research mainly used the method of literature study, taking Guang Zhou University of Chinese Medicine as a center, gathering relevant literature, of professor Xiong Manqi in the whole country. The material includes treatises, articles, clinical cases and interview records. Refering to Chinese Medicine literature and research methods of different physician’s theory, this research reorganized her biography, academic theory, clinical experience and mentor-disciple relationship, drawing a potential read of success for the current physician of Treatise of Febrile Disease. Research of experts’ academic theory could be helpful in protecting and sharing their precious experience, promoting the growth of Chinese youth as well as the development of the whole country.This research is combined of seven parts:The first part is a biography of professor Xiong Manqi. With material collection and interview, this part a brief introduction of professor Xiong’s growth and working experience. The second part focus on academic theory. Xiong Manqi was a famous physician of Treatise of Febrile Disease in the South of the Five Ridges. She devoted herself to promoting Zhongjing’s theory, underlining symptom differentiation based on the six meridians, make great contribution in studying the pathogenesis of Xiao Ke syndrome.The third part is clinical research. Professor Xiong Manqi is of rich clinical experience. She is famous for curing difficult disease with classical prescription, especially on treating diabetes and its complications.The forth part is experiment. Professor Xiong put strength on scientific research and lead the study of diabetes pathogenesis and insulin resistance. Besides, she has done lots of research on specific decoctions, for example, Tao He Cheng Qi Tang.The fifth part is teaching experience. Professor Xiong promoted the recurrence of classics in the clinical work, which can elevate the subject. In her teaching work, she renewed the teaching model and presented the concept of Theory on Febrile Disease.The sixth part is academic inheritance, in the analysis of the traditional Chinese medicine inheritance model, in the individual research for Xiong Manqi, analysis the Professor of the academic clinical thought source and development, provide reference for the growth of the contemporary TCM doctor.The seventh part is the interview record, which is reorganized and recorded of the interview of Professor Xiong Manqi.Through the above research, we can understanding the growth of the Professor Xiong Manqi, and the chance of road relatively; Her academic thoughts and clinical experience, the teaching experience is contemporary’s valuable experience and wealth, which worth our contemporary Chinese people learning from.
