ObjectivesTo explore the association between the stability of carotid therosclerotic and the TCM syndrome in patient with cerebral infractionMethodsTo collect130patient with cerebral infraction who are performed to carotid arteries B-mode ultrasonography and are found plaque or plaques in the carotid arteries. Complete all the patients’data of four diagnostic methods of TCM. The data are analysed by the criterion for diagnose and differentiation of syndromes of stroke which was drown out in1996. The serum lipid are examined at the same time. Measure the intima-media thickness (IMT). Analyze the morpholopy and acoustics of the plaques. According to the results of colorized Doppler ultrasound equipment., the patients were divided into three groups which were stable goup, relatively unstable and unstable group. Compare the difference of the intima-media thickness, the sore of four diagnostic methods of TCM. as we]1as the level of serum lipid between the three groups.Result1.There was statistically significant difference between the stable plaque group and the relatively unstable plague group.(P(0.05)2. The difference of intima-media thickness(IMT) was not significant between the three groups.(P>0.05)3. The difference of the scores of four diagnose and the level of serum lipid was not significant between the three groups.(P<0.05)Conclus ionThere was no significant difference in the terms of the intima-media thickness(IMT), the level of serum lipid and the sores of the four diagnoses. Chinese medicine and western medicine are two different architectures, which essential difference was the thinking way.
