| Object iveWith an Observation of no-symptom days, days of using Ventolin, days and cost of seeing a doctor of asthmatic children pre and post treatment, this paper explores clinical effect of chiropractics in treating mild-to-moderate children asthma.Method53cases were randomized to treatment group (27cases) and control group (26cases). They received conventional Western medicine treatment, and the treatment group. The treatment group was treated with chiropractics additionally. We investigated no-symptom days, days of using Ventolin, days and cost of seeing a doctor of asthmatic children before the treatment and at the third month, sixth month of the treatment.ResultThere was no statistical difference between the two groups in no-symptom days, days of using Ventolin, days and cost of seeing a doctor before treatment (P>0.05). There was significant difference between before and after treatment in no-symptom days, days of using Ventolin, days and cost of seeing a doctor of treatment group (P<0.01). There was significant difference between before and after treatment in no-symptom days, days of using Ventolin, days of seeing a doctor of treatment group (P<0.01). There was statistical difference between before and after treatment in cost of seeing a doctor of treatment group (P<0.05). There was statistical difference between the two groups in no-symptom days, days of using Ventolin and cost of seeing a doctor after treatment (P<0.05). There was no statistical difference between the two groups in days of seeing a doctor after treatment (P<0.05).No adverse reaction occurred in2groups ConclusionNo-symptom days, days of using Ventolin and cost of seeing a doctor in the treatment group was superior to the control group, which showed thai chiropractics was effective in reliving symptoms, decrease the attack frequency, and lighten the economic burden. Chiropractics has definite therapeutic effect on children asthma and has no side-effects. |
