Clinical Study On Treatment For Cervical Spondylosis With The Extra-point Chongzi And Chongxian Acupoint Of Surname Dong

ObjectResearch on the effect of the Extra-point Chongzi and Chongxian acupoint of surname Dong treating cervical spondylosis on the quality of life, to which evaluate the clinical efftct of the Extra-point Chongzi and Chongxian acupoint of Dong shisurname Dong objectly, search specific acupoints to treat cervical spondylosis, and explore a simple, economical and practical, easily spread treatment method.Methods90cases of cervical spondylosis were recruited from the acupuncture out-patient of Guangdong Provincial Hospital of TCM, and from Ersha branc h of Guangdong Provincial Hospital of TCM. By using simple random method,p articipants are distributed into the treatment group and control group, wi th45cases in each group. In the treatment group extra-point Chongzi and Chongxian of surname Dong are selceted.Compared to the treatment group, the control group with Fengchi(bilateral), Bailao(bilateral), Tianzhu(bilat eral), Jianjin(bilateral) and Houxi(bilateral). Using the Northwick Park Neck Pain Scale and the McGill pain scale to evaluate the therapeutic eff ect of the two groups before the treatment, after the third treatment, aft er the whole treatment and A month after treatment. Data observed will be filled into an observation table, and then be input into the statistical s oftware SPSS18.0for statistical analysis, using mean±standard deviati on for statistical description, t-test for the measurement data, chi-squa re test for the enumeration data, Paired-Samples T test for the statistica1analysis to compare the therapeutic differences, LSD-t test for the sta tistical analysis to compare the difference between groups. ResultsAfter one treatment course, NPQ scores and Mcgill Scale scores both d eclined significantly in the2graoups(P<0,05), means these2groups of tr eatment are all effective for cervical spondylosis.As after one treatment course, NPQ scores and Mcgill Scale scores of the therapeutic group is d ifferent from controll group significantly (P<0.05), which means therapeu tic effect of the treatment group is better than controll group. A month after treatment, Compared to the controll group, NPQ scores and Mcgill Sca le scores of the treatment group with no ascend, which have significant ly differences between2graoups(P<0,05), what is mean the long-term cura tive effect of treatment group is better than controll group.ConclusionPuncturing the Extra-point Chongzi and Chongxian acupoint of surname Dong and Fengchi (bilatera), Bailao (bilateral), Tianzhu (bilateral), Jianjin(b ilateral)and Houxi(bilateral) can both improve the clinical symptoms of the patients of cervical spondylosis, they both have better efficacy and s afety.However, the long-term curative effect of Puncturing the Extra-point Chongzi and Chongxian acupoint of surname Dong is better than the other group. Moreover, judging from the implementation of clinical treatment, Pun cturing the Extra-point Chongzi and Chongxian acupoint of surname Dong is much more simple, which is more acceptable by the patients and worthly of the clincal promotion and applications.
