ObjectiveThis subject was made under the guidance of traditional Chinese medicine and modern Western medicine theory, which was mean to observe the clinical efficacy of catgut implantation at acupoint in treating Anti-sperm immune infertility and to explore more effective, less toxic and side effected treatment for Anti-sperm immune infertility through cl inical trials, moreover, to provide the basis for the clinical treatment of Anti-sperm immune infertility.Methods60patients who met the diagnostic criteria, inclusion criteria of the subjects were randomly assigned into the experimental group and the control group,28cases in the experimental group and32cases in the control group. The treatment in the experimental group was catgut implantation at acupoint, while in the control group was oral administration of Methylprednisolone, and the total course of treatment was3months. The efficacy evaluation was determined according to the efficacy criteria of sterility established by Guidelines for clinical research of Traditional Chinese Medicine Part One and the assay of anti-sperm antibodies (ASA) in blood serum. The efficacy evaluation was determined before course of treatment, after course of treatment and3-month follow-up survey respectively.ResultsTwo groups were comparable between age, height, weight and course of disease by the statistical test, which was no significant difference (P>0.05). The groups were comparable between assay of anti-sperm antibodies in blood serum before treament by the statistical test result, which was no significant di fference (P>.05). After3-month treatment and3-month follow-up survey, there were7cured cases,6absolutely effective cases,12relatively effective cases and3ineffective cases in the experimental group, the remarkably effective rate was46.43%, the total effective rate was89.29%;And there were3cured cases,4absolutely effective cases,20relatively effective cases and5ineffective cases in the control group, the remarkably effective rate was21.88%, the total effective rate was84.38%. There was significant difference between the remarkably effective rates in two groups(P<0.05) by the statistical test, and it can be considered that the remarkably effective rate in the experimental group was superior to that in the control group; There was no significant difference between the total effective rates in two groups (P>0.05), and it can be considered that the cure rates in two groups were equivalent.Between the assay of anti-sperm antibodies in blood serum before treament and that after treatment, there was significant difference(P<0.05) in both groups. And as for the difference of assay of anti-sperm antibodies in blood serum before and that after treatment, there was no significant difference (P>0.05) between two groups. So it can be considered that catgut implantation at acupoint and oral administration of Methylprednisolone were both effective in treating Anti-sperm immune infertility, and there curative effect of reducing the anti-sperm antibodies in blood serum was equivalent.ConelusionsThe research result suggested that:While treating Anti-sperm immune infertility, whether chocsing catgut implantation at acupoint or oral administration of Western medicine, it can reduce the anti-sperm antibodies in blood serum efficiently. But as for the remarkably effective rate, the catgut implantation at acupoint was superior to the oral administration of Western medicine, so the curative effect of catgut implantation at acupoint in treating Anti-sperm immune infertility was superior in comprehensive evaluation. Moreover, the catgut implantation at acupoint has advantage of lasting effect, almost no toxic and side effect. It’s a safe and effective treatment, and it’s worth promoting to clinical use and further studying.
