In this experiment,we consolidate our tutor,s rich clinical experience, we have ways tocure simple obesity with conditioning in the spleen and stomach, ascending the clear anddescending turbid methods.Guided by my tutor,professor Li Jingzhuo,we choose the Zusanli(ST36) as the main electroacupuncture point and rats as the objects to study simple obesityby electroacupuncture.Objective:To study the influence of electroacupuncture at Zusanli (ST36) to all the simple obeserats,water amount,feeding amount,weight,length, Lee’s index, urine amylase activity,D-xylose excretory rate and other relevant factors.Methods:Choose40one-month-old clean and healthy Wister male rats which weigh50±5g.Afterfeed them with one week, we feed high fat food by half synthesis method for simple obesityrats.Devide the40Wister rats into two groups.In one group,10rats,we give them ordinaryfood;in the other group,30rats,we give them high fat food for10weeks.During this time,therats can eat and drink freely.Finally,we choose24rats that are of almost the same weight forour experiment.We devide them into4groups.Ordinary feed contrast group(A):8rats.Thisgroup only tie to the fixed device as long as that are in electroacupuncture at Zusanli (ST36)group.Devide the24rats that were given high fat food into3groups.They are high fatcontrast group(B), electroac-upuncture at Zusanli (ST36) group(C), acupuncture contrastgroup(D).High fat contrast group:8rats. This group only tie to the fixed device as long asthat are in electroacupuncture at Zusanli (ST36) group. electroacupuncture at Zusanli (ST36) group:8rats.We take the rat’s “Zusanli”(bilateral),use Size36(1cun)needle,put throughelectroacupunture instrument,10HZ,continuous wave, highest intensity that can be borne bythe rats,once a day,20minutes for each time,altogether30times. acupuncture contrast group:8rats. We select the rat hind limbs of Zusanli point next to open5mm, This group onlyacupuncture as the same as electroacupuncture groups electroacupuncture at Zusanli (ST36)group.All the rats are fed on ordinary food during the treatment.This experiment will help us to study and monitor the rat’s weight,length, Lee’s index,urine amylase activity,D-xylose excretory rate and other relevant factors. Resules:(1)The rats,water amount and feeding amountHigh fat contrast group, this experimental model is for the success of the simple obesityrats. The water amount and feeding amount increased significantly contrasting with ordinaryfeed contrast group. After treatment by Acupuncture, the C group was higher than that of Bgroup(P<O.O1), D group compared with B group changed without difference(P>0.05. Cgroup compared with D group(P<0.05), explained that electroacupuncture at Zusanli (ST36)group(C) was superior to acupuncture contrast group(D).(2)The rats,weight,length and Lee’s indexBefore acupuncture:compared with the rats in Ordinary feed contrast group(A), the rats,weight,length and Lee’s index in high fat contrast group(B),electroacupuncture at Zusanli(ST36) group(C), acupuncture contrast group(D) are obviously higher(P<0.05),this showthat our making models is successful.There is no difference in length emerged between thetwo groups(P>0.05).After acupuncture:the weight of the rats in electroacupuncture at Zusanli (ST36)group(C) and acupuncture contrast group(D) is obviously lower than that of the rats beforeacupuncture treatment(P<0.05). The electroacupuncture at Zusanli (ST36) group(C) isbetter than acupuncture contrast group(D). Contasted with high fat contrast group(B),therats,weight,length and Lee’s index in electroacupuncture at Zusanli (ST36) group(C) andacupuncture contrast group(D) are obviously lowe(rP<0.05). There is no difference in lengthemerged between the two groups(P>0.05).(3) The rats,urine amylase activitySimple obesity rats,urine amylase activity is obviously lower(P<0.01). Afteracupuncture, the urine amylase activity of the rats in electroacupuncture at Zusanli (ST36)group(C) and acupuncture contrast group(D) is obviously higher than that of the rats in highfat contrast group(B)(P<0.01),the electroacupuncture at Zusanli (ST36) group(C) is betterthan acupuncture contrast group(D)(P<0.05). It is explained that after the acupuncturetreatment, Simple obesity rats,urine amylase activity can be effectively improved, theelectroacupuncture at Zusanli (ST36) group(C) can be closed to the level before makingmodel.(4)The rats,D-xyloseSimple obesity rats,D-xylose is obviously lower(P<0.01), simple obesity rat model of spontaneous recovery results is not obvious. After acupuncture, the D-xylose excretoryrate of the rats in electroacupuncture at Zusanli (ST36) group(C) and acupuncture contrastgroup(D) is obviously higher than that of the rats in high fat contrast group(B)(P<0.01),the electroacupuncture at Zusanli (ST36) group(C) is better than acupuncture contrastgroup(D)(P<0.05). It is explained that after the acupuncture treatment, Simple obesity rats,D-xylose excretory rate can be effectively improved, the electroacupuncture at Zusanli (ST36) group(C) can be closed to the level before making model.Conclusion:The study results show that electroacupuncture at Zusanli (ST36) can adjust the simpleobese rats,water amount,feeding amount,weight,length, Lee’s index,urine amylase activity,D-xylose,and verify the curative effect of electroacupuncture at Zusanli (ST36).On onehand,this provides a good guide for clinical acupuncture weight loss treatment options toprovide guidance, on the other hand, to provide a theoretical basis for the mechanism ofacupuncture and moxibustion for simple obese by acupuncture.
