Objective:As the study object in this dissertation is evaluating the treatment result on using Mr. Chen’s Flying Needle to treat Bell’s paralysis. The further discussing is if the curative effect of Mr. Chen’s Flying Needle on treating Bell’s paralysis is better than the normal acupuncture treatment, then provide clinical the practice utilization and the curative effect appraisal of reference for the Mr. Chen’s Flying Needle in treating Bell’s paralysis.Method:60cases of patients with the diagnosis standard on Bell’s paralysis, take simple random method, according to the principle of1:1randomly, are divided into the treatment group and control group. The treatment group uses Mr. Chen’s Flying Needle method, the control group using normal acupuncture method on Bell’s paralysis. Both groups will be treated once a day. After a course of treatment which lasts for six days, rests for a day. There are two courses of treatment. Before and after treatment, quantify and score on patients’signs and symptoms, also the latency of facial nerve and the percentage of the amplitude loss in ENoG are performed.Results:For3cases fall off, the treatment group left29cases and the control group left28cases. General information on pre-treatment compared with two groups of patients gender, age, course and the affected side, difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05). The two groups were comparable. The scores on patients’signs and symptoms before and after the treatment, the treatment group and the control group has the significant difference after statistics processing (P<0.05), indicating that both two kinds of treatment methods can obviously improve symptoms of Bell’s paralysis. While the scores of the two groups compared with each other after treatment, difference was statistically significant (P<0.05), suggesting that Mr. Chen’ s Flying Needle has better curative effect on Bell’s paralysis than normal acupuncture method. In the case of electroneurography (ENoG), before and after the treatment, both the treatment group and the control group have very significant differences in the percentage of the amplitude loss of the orbicularis ocull and orbicularis(P<0.05), indicating both the methods of two groups can reduce the percentage of the amplitude loss. After the treatment, there were significant difference in orbicularis oris between the two grous (P<0.05) while there were no difference in orbicularis ocull (P>0.05). Before and after the treatment, both the treatment group and the control group have very significant differences in the the latency of facial nerve (P<0.01), indicating that both the methods of two groups can shorter the latency of facial nerve. After the treatment, there were significant difference between the treatment group and the control group in orbicularis ocull (P<0.05),and very significant difference between the two groups in orbicularis oris (P<0.01)In terms of clinical efficacy part, the cure rate of treatment group was96.5%, while the control group was92.8%, it showed statistically significant difference (P<0.05);The total effective rate was89.6%in treatment group and82.1%in control group, which has significant difference statistical significance (P<0.05). It suggested that the treatment group was better than the control group no matter on cure rate and the total effective rate.Conclusion:Mr. Chen’s Flying Needle has the notable curative effect on treating Bell’s paralysis, it can significantly improve the clinical symptoms and signs of Bell’s paralysis and promote repairment of the function of facial nerve. Because of the convenient operation and exact curative effect, there are broad prospects for clinical application of acupoints thermal moxibustion, which can be implied the standardized operation and carried out easily. As the latency of facial nerve and the percentage of the amplitude loss in ENoG can reflect the degree of facial nerve’s injury and the efficacy of prognosis, is worth to be applied in clinical.
