Objective:To detect the serum anti-mullerian hormone(AMH)level ofpatients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS),and to explore therelationship between AMH and PCOS or Follicle number.Methods:Totally44patients with PCOS and30healthy females wereenrolled from June2010to January2011in the First Hospital of JilinUniversity. Serum AMH levels were measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).At the same time gonadal hormone levels、OGTT andIns levels were measured and the follicle numbers were recorded withTransvaginal Doppler ultrasonograph. Results:No difference was found in age of PCOS patients andcontrols. The BMI、the serum AMH、LH、LH/FSH、T level and the folliclenumbers in PCOS group were significantly higher than that of the control group[25.19±4.69,1431.06±404.16,0.86±0.08,1.44±0.98,1.82±0.8016.07±3.76,vs,20.97±2.81,705.80±136.21,0.79±0.04,0.85±0.32,1.20±0.5,7.79±1.66;P<0.01,P<0.01,P<0.01,P<0.01,P=0.0039,P=0.0201]. Pears on correlationanalysis showed positive relationship between serum AMH level and FN(r=0.467,P<0.05) LH(r=0.226,P=0.001)、LH/FSH(r=0.195,P=0.015)、T(r=0.705,P<0.01). In PCOS group LH with BMI (r=0.237,P=0.0448), WHR (r=0.271, P=0.0211) have a negative correlation, LH/FSHratio and BMI (r=0.303, P=0.0086), WHR (r=0.349, P=0.0035) weresignificantly negative correlation, but FSH and BMI (r=0.263, P=0.0105)positively correlation. the three are positively correlated with a statisticalsignificance. Conclusion:The mean serum AMH level in PCOS group wassignificantly higher than that of the control group. The serum AMH, FSH levelsin OB group were higher than the OB group. Pears on correlation analysisshowed positive relationship between serum AMH level and FN、LH、LH/FSH、T. There is a negative correlation with E2trend, but no statistical significance. The serum AMH has no significant relation to age or other hormone levels inPCOS group. The relationship between AMH and IR need to investigate furtherwith ovarian tissue. Serum AMH level was an important index for thediagnosis and treatment of PCOS in the future.
