| Object: Investigate the local skin temperature changes of the incision and related laboratoryparameters after the primarily total knee arthroplasty, in order to provide reference to identifywhether infect after total knee arthroplasty. Methods: Monitoring60cases of the knee skin temperature, CRP and ESR at each time andmake statistical analysis model from October2009to October2010.Result: The difference temperature between the two knees had a mean value of2.9℃at3days after operation,2.7℃at6days,2.6℃at9days,2.5℃at12days,2.3℃at4weeks,1.8℃at12weeks,1.2℃at24weeks,0.5℃at36weeks,0.0℃at48weeks (P <0.05). CRP began toincrease on the first day after operation, reach peak on third day and after6weeks restorenormal levels. ESR increased slowly, reach its peak5-7days after operation, and after28weeksrestore normal levels. Conclusion: Following uncomplicated TKR,a prolonged increase in the temperature of theskin of operated knee is normal. The temperature difference between the two knee graduallyreduced over time, and after36weeks the difference was not statistically significant. Thecorresponding increase both in CRP and ESR after operation, CRP fall rapid, return to normallevels after6weeks. The ESR fall slow, usually recovery to preoperative levels after28weeks. Ifthese three values of the indicators in the corresponding period did not fall or rise, furtherexamination should pay attention to rule out the possibility of infection. |
