| Backgrounds:Acute pancreatitis (acute pancreatitis, AP) is one of the common clinicalemergency, about80%to90%of which is mild acute pancreatitis (mild acutepancreatitis, MAP). In recent years, with the improvement of living standardand the changes of people’s diet structure, the incidence of acute pancreatitis hasa rising trend year by year. At the same time, researchers have the furtherunderstanding in the pathogenesis of acute pancreatitis. A large number ofstudies show that the traditional Chinese medicine has a unique efficacy andadvantage in the treatment of MAP relative to the pure western medicinetreatment. Through the clinical observation of curative effect upon MAP bySimo decoction, our research further evaluates the clinical curative effect ofcompound Chinese medicine in treatment of MAP via abdominal symptoms, biochemical index and CTSI score. Objective:Through clinical retrospective study of compound prescription-Simotang,to evaluate the clinical curative effect and adverse reaction in adjuvant treatmentof MAP, in the hope that it can provide a theoretical basis for the clinicalapplication. Methods:The clinical data of MAP patients were collected from2010March-2012January in Xijing Gastroenterology Hospital. According to the diagnosisstandard of acute pancreatitis, the acute edematous pancreatitis were included. The autoimmune pancreatitis, the acute exacerbation of chronic pancreatitis, andthe severe acute pancreatitis were excluded. The treatment group wasadministrated by the combination of Simo decotion with auxiliary enzymeinhibition, anti acid, and anti-inflammatory drug, while the control group wastreated by auxiliary enzyme inhibition, anti acid, and anti-inflammatory therapyonly. The definition of treatment failure was CTSI>7points. The generalclinical data, abdominal symptoms, biochemical markers, and imaging data(CTSI score) were analyzed respectively. Results:There were165patients (88cases in treatment group, control group77casesin control group) in our reseach with no differences in the basic data. Theaverage age of the treatment group and the control group were45.4+6.3and44.3+5.8respectively(P=0.69); the number of males in the treatment groupand the control group were56cases (63.8%) and49cases (59.5%)respectively(P=0.633); CTSI scores of the treatment group and the control group before theropy were2.3+0.5and2.2+0.6respectively(P=0.31). Simo decoctionadjuvant therapy could improve the curative efficiency of pancreatitis (94.30%vs81.80%, P=0). Compared with control group, Simo decoction could improveabdominal symptoms, biochemical markers and imaging performance.Remission time of the abdomen distension:(3.2+1.5vs5.8+1.8), abdominalpain relief time (4.1+1.4vs6.2+2.1), borborygmus recovery time (3.3+1.7vs4.2+2.3), bowel recovery time (3.6+2vs5.1+1.5), AMS recovery time (4+0.9vs5.5+2.7), WBC recovery time (3.7+0.8vs5.4+1.8), hospitalization time(7.2+1.9vs8.5+2.2), CTSI score release value (0.35+0.07vs0.31+0.12)..Conclusion:As to acute edematous pancreatitis, the conventional western medicinetreatment combined with the application of Simotang oral liquid cansignificantly improve patients clinical symptoms, reduce the prevalence of painand shorten the average hospitalization time, which reduces the cost of treatment, improves the clinical treatment effect, and effectively prevents the developmentof severe acute pancreatitis. |
