Safety And Efficacy Of Small Bowel Anastomosis With Nickel Titanium Compression Anastomosis Clip

Objective：To evaluate the safty and efficacy of compression anastomosis clip(CAC)for small bowel anastomosis.Methods： From January2005to November2011,three hundred and sixty sevengastric patients hadundered totalgastroctomyin received small bowelanastomosis.One hundred and eighty two patients received small bowelanastomosis with CAC；One hundred and eighty five patients received smallbowel anastomosis with stapler.The following parameters were recorded toevaluate the safety and efficacy: complication with small bowel anastomotic, ncisioninfection，first post-operration flatus and bowel movement postoperative hospital stayand extrusion of clip device.Results:Anastomotic complication such as leakage and stenosis were not observed inboth groups. The CAC group had no intraoperative anastomoticbleeding, tubularmetal nail stapler group of six cases.CAC group had two cases of incisioninfection,and three in control group. There was no significant differences in incisioninfection between the two groups(＞0.05).There was no significant differences inthe first post-operation flatus and hospitalization between the two groups(＞0.05).The clip was expelled with stool with8-18days.Conclusion： CAC is safe and simple for small bowel anastomosis.
