[Objective]:To evaluate safety and efficacy of nickel-titanium compression anastomosis clip (CAC) for colon cancer surgery.[Methods]:CAC was used in 96 cases of colon cancer surgery, while the EEA (end-to-end anastomosis) stapler was used in 94 cases in our hospital from Jan 1, 2005 to Dec 31,2009. The operation of the anastomosis devices and the comparisons of various common intraoperative and postoperative complications were observed.[Results]:In these two groups, there was no significant difference among operation time (p>0.05, postoperative flatus time (p>0.05), and the postoperative complications of anastomotic stoma bleeding, leakage, stenosis or polyp, but the results of anastomositis and wound infections (p<0.05) were different. The clip device was evacuated within 8-14 days after operation.[Conclusion]:Compared with the curved anastomosis stapler, CAC is near zero pollution, simple and safe to use for colon cancer surgery. |
