The mountainous topographic of middle Shandong province is an area that has the most complex landform types and the richest plant and animal resources in Shandong province. Under the dual role of the geological and geomorphological and climatic conditions, the area is rich in natural spring water resources. Also it gives birth to the human civilization with a very long history. But,in today’s society of the survival and development, traditional springs villages Face with many problems:due to the underground water level decrease spring quantity decrease and even dried up, the old life mode of production can’t keep up with the pace of modern life, the villagers and managers to realize the importance of water resource shortage, village renovation process damage to water resources and the organic combination of village, and so on.Due to the impression of the mountainous and hilly topography, there are many places with inconvenient traffic conditions in The mountainous topographic of middle Shandong province, thus the spring villages have been relatively well protected, these springs villages reflects the interactions between the long-term human settlements activities and the environment they are in to some extent.Through the investigation on the spatial features of different kinds of springs villages in The mountainous topographic of middle Shandong province, together with a comprehensive analysis of combined typology, landscape ecology, we did a thorough analysis on the Spatial Pattern Types of the spring villages, from from macro to micro, and from different levels of analysis. As village is a form of human settlement, so it could not be separated from human factors, so a study on the human life, production, social activities of the spring villages is also essential.Based on the problems found in the research process of the spring villages of The mountainous topographic of middle Shandong province we proposed and use scientific methods to analyze the crisis faced by the springs village development. We proposed that the enforcement of the village springs utilization management should be taken place. We concluded with the utilization strategies and development directions with emphases on the echelon, ecological and refinement of the spring water resources. We start with the environment in which the Springs village is in, and get the reason of the rich outcrops of the region’s natural spring water through the analysis of the mountainous geography and climate of the mountainous topographic of middle Shandong province. Then we summarize the overall state of the spring villages of the mountainous topographic of middle Shandong province, which lay down a foundation for the latter context. First of all, the main part of the article discusses the effect of the environment on the formation of village space type, classifies the patterns of springs villages according to the gcomorphic environment in which they are in, and analyzes the characteristic of different spatial patterns of the spring villages. There is a relative huge difference between the landscapes of the northern and southern part of the mountainous topographic of middle Shandong province, so there are two broad types of the springs village environments, namely, relatively flat terrain mountainous and hilly topography and terrain local piedmont plain landforms. Under these two landforms, springs villages are classified and their morphological characteristics are analyzed. On the basis of accumulated in the village instance, the spring villages of the mountainous topographic of middle Shandong province are classified into five categories eventually:the foothills of springs villages, valley springs villages, spring hole-centered residential settlements surrounding villages, spring-centered residential settlements and farmland surrounded villages and the-overflow-water-systems-relying villages. When we are trying to do the typology analysis on the spatial form of the spring villages of the mountainous topographic of middle Shandong province within the village level, the impact on the spatial form brought by the geographical environment is ignored, and the focus turned to the analysis of the morphology of the villages at different levels within the space. We analyzed space type of various regions in detail gradually from the settlement level, the streets level and water level and explored different aspects of the formation of the elements on the space, the space functions and their interactions and relations. In the village level, the space of springs villages are classified in accordance with the role that the space is playing, attentions are given to the the spatial relationships between the various functional areas and springs resources when we are doing the analysis on the types. In the streets level, the concerned elements are more detail:building interface, residential courtyard, street interface, square space, as well as a spring water system are incorporated into the scope of the analysis, the changes in the portfolio will affect the feelings that the springs village street will bring to people. In the spring water levels, the main concern is the morphological change and combination of the spring water itself, the water bodies as well as the interactions and associations of the surroundings of the waterfront space. On the basis of typology study of the spring villages, firstly, the last part of the article summarized the economic value, the landscape ecological value and cultural value of spring resources in the spring villages, point out the irreplaceable important significance of spring resources to spring villages in the rapid development of modern economic and social environment. As the production and living water, the quality of spring resources is absolutely superior. For landscape and ecology, spring resources have an irreplaceable role. The Intangible value that spring resources had are what other types of water does not have. At last, the paper proposes the Development direction and specific strategies on overall living state protection and making full use of spring. The paper emphasizes on using traditional knowledge and ideas, At the same time, adapting to life in the new period production icquirements. To achieve the ordinal, ecological and refinement use of water resources, we need to organically combining modern science and technology.
