Tectonic Analysis Of SANAA’s Achitectural Works

As the winner of the Pritzker Architecture Prize in2010-SANAA is one of the most important architecturl design combination in nowadays.Their architectural works have a distinctive features and hign degree of completion,but they are not good at explan their own works in theory.Previous studies about SANAA focused on their works’ space and form features,and these date has a great help to our understanding of SANAA" works.However,the available studies related on their works’ technical means is incomplete and this situation bring difficult to our having a comprehensive understanding of SANAA’s architectural works. Through SANAA’s architectural works’feature "light","thin","minimum","transparent and translucent", this paper attempts to analysis their works in the aspect of stracture、constraction、material etc.This paper includes the following four parts:Firstly,the author expounds the reasearch object and background,the reasearch intention,the reasearch steps and methods.Secondly, though analyzing the articles about SANAA,the author points out the thinking souce of SANAA’s works and the features of their work.At the same time the author explains the content of tectonic analysis.Thirdly, through SANAA’s architectural works’feature "light","thin","minimum","transparent and translucent", the author analysis their works in the aspect of stracture、constraction、material etc,this part is the most important part of this paper.In the end the author summarizes the technical characteristics of SANAA’s works and points out some problems in their works’technical design. The whole thesis contains about44000words,239pictures and charts.
