| Estimation for residual life of large cranes is always an important question for discussion in engineering field. When we designed cranes, we did not know their actual load group while they were working, so the working life is different from fee actual life, even appeared huge departure. Thus, Estimation for residual life of cranes becomes difficult problem in engineering. The aim of this paper is to find a method which has enough precision as well as certain reliability to solve the practical problem in engineering. The author designed a system running with the crane and showing the residual life of itIn this paper, the author summed up currently domestic and overseas estimation method of residual life, including reverse calculation method and the other mehtods, and analyzed the feasibility of reverse calculation method under current condition. On the one hand, the author brought forward and perfected some estimation method, such as load method, stress method, and so forth. On the other hand, the author analyzed the relationships between its working life and actual load group of cranes. Therefore, we must know how cranes wo±ed if we want to estimate the residual life of them. At the same time, we need check, record and organize the whole load and stress data since the crane became working. The author founded the estimation system for residual life of large cranes especially aiming at gantry cranes in the paper. This system could record the working status and estimate the residual life of cranes. In addition, the host computer would analyze the recorded data and feed back to the operator through the display installing on cranes. In this way, we could finish the real-time checking for cranes. Besides, the author founded a PC after-processing software system which not only could analyze the residual life of cranes more detailed, but also wholly manage the working status of the crane. The study of this paper basically meets the needs of users about estimation for residual life of cranes. Furthermore, it has broad prospect using in engineering, and has significance for management and maintenance of large cranes. |
