Abstract/Summary:
Mass customization is a new production pattern, which has become a main productionmodel of the21st century. It combines the advantages of mass production and customizationproduction, which can meet the customers’ demand with a low production cost in short time.As one of the key technologies of the design for mass customization, product configurationdesign can configure out the personalized products that meet customers’ demand quickly, theconfiguration model of product family is the basis of the configuration,the CBR is one of thekey technologies of product configuration, At present, crane industry faces the challengesof customers’ demand increasingly diverse, individuation, and in the crane productconfiguration design aspects of the study was less, so the research on crane productconfiguration design has important significance. The main contents of the paper are asfollows:(1) The theory, process and key technologies of product configuration design wereStudied, and the product configuration design process were drew up.(2) Research on module division, module interface, module coding and moduleconfiguration rules of the modular design. The principles of modeling and the modelingprocess were established by analyzing the product family configuration model. The methodsof product family and parts family configuration model were establishment. The interface ofthe configuration models was analyzed.(3) The overhead crane trolley configuration design process was made by the productconfiguration process. The overhead crane trolley module was divided and the overheadcrane trolley product family configuration model was established. The theory and advantagesof CBR were expounded, Hierarchical retrieval instance of retrieval method is used to retrieve the product configuration, describing the hierarchical retrieval method of the retrievalalgorithm and feature attribute weighted multi-step algorithm implementation process indetail, and to verify the case retrieval on the trolley running gear.(4) The environment of configuration system and tools were selected, the systemstructure and work flow of the configuration system were formulated and the functionmodules of the system were briefly presented.
