Oriented Product Family Configuration Design

In this paper, according to the reseach of Perkins Engines(Tianjin) Co.,Ltd, on the base of know engine in detail , the base theory , methods and key technologies of family-oriented configuring design are studied , conbined the characteristic of engine and CBR technology into the configuring design, pointed the technology of the family-oriented configuring design on SmarTeam, the main research contents are as follows:1. The paper reseached the pattern of mass customization, product family, concepts of configuring design, analyzed the development of domestically and aborad.2. Researched the concepts of product family, pricinple of design and the flow of design, the achievable means of configuring design, establish the structure system of configuring design.3. Studied the key technique of configuring design------CBR technique,include its antilogy, flow, finished the example's foundation of engine product , moreover studied how to select and modify the product's example.4. Researched the flow of configuring system, pack up and class the customers' requirements. brought forward the According to the selection of configuring main parameter and alterable parameter to realize the configuring design.5. Developed the configuring system of engines product based on the research of configuring theory and technique ,it can improve the speed of product design, realized the management of product data and provided enterprise a convenient ,high-efficient product design platform.6. The summary of the research work and the resulting achievements. Suggestion for further study is put forward accordingly.Family-Oriented configuring Design is not the design only for one product every time, but also for the product family, the designed product is saved in example house, according to the different customer's requirement,we can configure the content product very easily through finding and modifying the similar example, or through choosing the main parameter and alterable parameter . design by FDJPZ platform can optimize the speed and quality of product design, reduce cost and get better market competition.
