This article describes a kind of new metal rubber buffer on35mm artillery. It is an important and long-term research task to reduce the recoil and improve the fire precision of the weapon. The designed buffer can mostly reduce the recoil force when the artillery is firing and increase the hitting precision to some extent. In this buffer, the ring spring is used as buffer element, and metal rubber is used as damp element. Interior ballistic model of35mm artillery is established, and breech force can be obtained. Then the equation of motion of the gun barrel in the buffer role is established. In this paper, motion equation of new metal rubber buffer on artillery, stiffness model of the ring spring, constitutive relation of metal rubber, and mathematical model of friction block are constructed. According to the technical requirements of buffer, optimization variables, constraints, and object function are identified. Then optimization mathematical model is established. So as to find the appropriate optimization algorithm. A computer program for buffer optimization design is written by Matlab. Computer program is written through using Matlab software, which simulated the buffering process. The new metal rubber buffer on artillery which is successfully developed, can solve the common problems of the automatic gun, reduce the recoil resistance of artillery, improve firing accuracy, and promote the performance of artillery. It has wide application prospect.
