It is an important and long-term research task to reduce the recoil and improve the fire precision of the weapon. The dynamic analysis is used to design an effective buffer for rotating-barrls machine gun. The designed buffer can mostly reduce the recoil force when the gun is firing and increase the hitting precision to some extent. The recoil mathematics model is built up. so as to find Optimization variables, Optimization calculation and objective function. A computer program for buffer optimization design is written on the foundation of the orthogonal design method. Select the appropriate structural parameters, to reduce the recoil resistance.Computer program is compiled through using Matlab software, which simulated the buffering process and the change of the main structure parameter that effected the buffering process and change of the main structure parameter that effected the buffering displacement, velocity, recoil force and gained main performance curve and lots of dates. Ring buffer is composed of springs and dampers. The adoption of the buffer can remarkably refrain the recoil length and at the same time mostly reduce the recoil force. It is an effective way for rotating-barrels machine gun to realize low recoil force.
