Study For General Layout Of Hospital Building In Guangdong Based On Green Hospital Construction

With the further deepening of medical and health system reform in our country,construction projects of hospital keep on increasing these years. In comparison to other kindsof building, hospital is special in the people it services and its function. What’s more, it needsto operate24hours a day. However, hospital is becoming a type of public building whichconsumes largest amount of energy in one-sided pursuit of absolute comfort indoor and thebeauty. It is extremely terrible in Guangdong.Based on this period of hospital’s development, the paper discusses general layout ofhospital building in Guangdong from the aspect of green hospital, under the precondition ofmeeting medical behaviors and a moderate range of comfort. It is a topic of some significancetowards hospital’s whole life cycle that we talk about it at such a very beginning. If we followgreen design strategies on general layout of hospital building, we can easily reduce thecoming investment in equipments and other high-tec ecological ways.Research has been divided into three dimensions to investigate and analyze in this paper.Representative models in each dimension have been studied in the way of questionnairesurvey, field research and thermal measurement, so as to summarize green design strategies inthis field directly by data. First dimension is general layout of hospital building. The paperdiscusses it mainly basing on regional wind environment and logical traffic route. Seconddimension is micro-environment on hospital campus. On the aspect of comfort, the paper hasmeasured and analyzed micro-environment after subdividing it into property of underlyingsurface, site selection and detail design of courtyard and entrance square, space design on theground floor, etc. Third dimension is discussion on control index. By using mathematicalstatistics, the paper has gathered and analyzed the first-hand data about energy consumptionand site index of hospitals in Guangdong, so as to give some suggestions on index in the fieldof green hospital construction.This paper not only has a close relationship with the practical experiences onconstruction of hospitals in Guangdong, but also absorbs the advanced concepts in greenhospital building assessments or the part connected with hospital in green buildingassessments all around the world. Author hopes the data and the analysis in this paper would be helpful to refine local regulations on green hospital building and guide hospitals’ design inGuangdong.
