| Along with the rapid development of China’s economy and technology,on the one hand,hospital buildings present such state of rapid development;on the other hand,the specialization and particularity of hospital buildings are becoming prominent.In such a context,hospital buildings’ layout design gets more essential.Guangdong,an economically developed region in China’s southern coast,has a unique climate gathering a large number of hospitals.The proposal of the notion of energy saving and sustainability put forward new requirements for the hospital buildings in this area.Therefore,the appropriate layout of hospital buildings in Guangdong is the premise for the hospital to reasonably arrange functional departments and effectively organize the circulations of all programs.Meanwhile,it also provides an important guarantee for the hospital buildings to adapt to the regional climate,conserve energy,lessen consumption and make great efforts to promote ecological progress.This written dissertation is based on the author’s extensive research and a large volume of raw data collection from the principles of Architecture,Planning,technological design for healthcare,sustainable development and other theories as for the research foundation.In accordance with the overall drive of the scientific nature,rationality and adaptability,the author takes consideration of medical programs,the circulation requirements,other regional climate conditions and so forth,systematically apprehends design layout of hospital buildings concerning its overall,exterior,interior layout and its interconnection.The dissertation aims to provide new ideas and thoughts for the research on design of hospital buildings in terms of its overall design and document its foundation by structuring the list of hospital buildings’ layout.The dissertation further fills the research gap via exploring strategies which enable hospital buildings to adapt to the climate conditions.The dissertation is divided into four main sections.The first section mainly from the social,economic,technological and environmental aspects brings forward the research origins and backgrounds,explains the research review,theoretical and practical significances of the study on hospital buildings’ layout design in Guangdong,as the research objectivity and methodology.The second section proposes the major factors of the layout of hospital buildings through defining the general development of the hospital layout in Guangdong.The third section,from the perspective of its overall design,conducts research on the layout of hospital buildings in Guangdong from three correlated aspects: architectural overall layout,architectural exterior and interior spatial layout.Specifically,these three aspects are categorized associated with the classification of layout types firstly.Secondly,the section studies its design features,connectivity and critical points to set up the list of clustered hospital buildings’ layout and concludes adoptable the layout category through embedding principles complied with typical examples and comprehensively analyzing each category’s layout and mode from hospital’s functional circulations,regional climate conditions,hospital users’ behavior,psychological characteristics and other aspects.The fourth section based the aforementioned analyses and studies raises the notion of the design layout of hospital buildings in Guangdong and strategies which is catering to have efficient,effective,and safe medical activities as well as adapted to the climate conditions in Guangdong region.The section also outlooks the trend of future hospital buildings’ development regarding its design layout.The proposal of such design strategies is an effective supplement to hospital architectural design theory and has instructional significance to the practice. |
