Research Of Valve Block Holes Positioning System Based On CAD Platform

Computer aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technology is a multidisciplinary integrated technology that is one of the world’s fastest developing technology, its further development and application of level has become a national science and technology level of industrialization and modernization of the important symbol. With the development of computer technology, CAD/CAM technology in mechanical manufacturing industry has been widely applied, caused the manufacturing mode of production and market situation of enormous changes and brought about product design and manufacturing methods of the fundamental changes. However, the general CAD/CAM software whose professional targeted are poor are difficult to meet the specific needs of product design and development in practical engineering fields. Further development of CAD/CAM software increasingly become one of the topics which must confront and resolve in the technology promotion and application process in current environment.In the traditional process, the processing valve block positioning holes relied mainly on manual labor. This is time-consuming and labor-intensive and particularly prone to error. According to this practical engineering problem, valve block holes positioning system based on CAD platform was developed in this issue. By using VBA as tools and ActiveX technology as interface, This system was developed for further development on Auto CAD to achieve the function of extracting holes parameters automatically from valve block design.With Microsoft Access as the back-end database, using the latest ADO technology to establish holes parameters database and management system. With serial communication control MSComm and RS-232C interface as carrier, using Hostlink as communication protocol to realize serial communication and information exchange between the host PC and subordinate PLC. This system provide the Data guarantee of drilling automatically in the valve blockThe system is simple and practical solution to the problem, good interaction with the user and good use of advanced technologies. The whole system is innovative and creative. The system of research and results, for promoting rational use of manufacturing resources, shortening the processing cycle, improving productivity and processing quality, reducing labor intensity, realizing process optimization and business efficiency and meeting the needs of modern integrated manufacturing system has very high engineering application value and practical significance.
