In this thesis, the study of Petrophysical Parameters Database and Modeling Visualization is presented. Petrophysics is the essentially basic information in the geophysics research field; it is the bridges in connecting geologic and geophysics. The petrophysics is also the foundations in building the geophysical models. In the field of geophysical exploration of oil and gas, there are many specialized database, but seldom is there any database aimed at managing and analyzing petrophysical parameters. It is important to improve the efficiency of pertophysical parameters data analysis and processing to develop this software.The thesis includes six chapters. Chapter 1 presents an introduction and background information of the study. Chapter 2 discusses the theories and the development steps of the Petrophysical Parameters Database. Chapter 3 introduces the technology of data visualization and 2-D&3-D Visualization of Petrophysical Parameters. Chapter 4 introduces the software design, structure and development environment of the software. Chapter 5 introduces the functions and operation instructions of the software. The last part is conclusions and advices.The main achievements of this thesis are as follows:(1) All the process of the software exploitation is supervised by software engineering theory, it embodies the principle of systematism, engineering, standardization form feasibility, requirement analysis to coding, soft testing and system issuance. We compiled particular documents of software exploitation and user handbook. It is the base of upgrading and maintenance of the software.(2) Through analysis the relation of petrophysical parameters and using relation normalization theory, we educe Entity-Relationship model and set up the Petrophysical Parameters Database.(3) It achieves seamless integration of several exploitation tools and integrates all tools in main-control module of main frame. It fully exerts the strongpoint of all tools to improve the efficiency of software development and function of software.(4) The 3-D visualized modeling was adopted to set up 3-D petrophysical parameters model. In the software, it combines data management, data analysis and data visualization to ensure the veracity of analysis.The sfudy supported by Sinopec Corp. and BGP, CNPC.
