| Motion simulation is one key aspect in automobile die design. it is not only related to thequality of automotive die design, but also an important factor being on the market of new car.With its powerful surface modeling capabilities, CATIA software has won the good graces ofmore and more car manufacturers. Considering the low efficiency and complicated operationin the simulation of automobile die stamping motion, which has brought a lot ofinconvenience to the design of automobile die, a system based on CATIA for automobile diestamping motion simulation is very meaningful.The paper researched the conventional method of the simulation of automobile diestamping motion, compared the international and domestic studies, summarized themovement relationship of automobile die against automobile die design problems. A systembased on CATIA for automobile die stamping motion simulation is developed.The paper briefly introduced the technology of further development on CATIA, anddecided to use CAA as the system development tool. The system is realized based on solvingthe key issues such as quick definition of whole automobile die, interference detection ofsimulation, design record-return, predicting moving defect and calculate the efficiency, etc. Itis realized aided design using dynamic interference detection results.In short, the paper gave systematic deep plans on the simulation. The automation andintelligent system can greatly shorten the time used to design automobile die and improve theefficiency. It will not only provide some reference value for the future in terms of deeperresearch, but also promote the full realization of digital design and manufacturing ofautomotive die. |
