And so,This paper puts forward a design method of inlay during the renovation and transformation forold buildings. It is an active method for it would preserve the ancient architecture as well asinlaid the new architectural element, as a symbiosis union’s functions together meeting the newrequirements for use,and realising the sustainable recycle and reusing for old buildings. This paper is divided into four major parts. Based on the first part which would putforward and analyse the problem, the second part would summarize the form and classificationof inlay, and the characteristics of renovation and transformation for old buildings. The third part in the second part of the basis, extracted a design method and the practicesof inlay from the renovation and transformation for old buildings, Focuses on the functionalinlayã€structural inlayã€parts of inlay design techniques. In the last part,Narrative inlay techniques’s association in renovation for old buildings,①Mainly elaborated the significance of inlay techniques and application prospects;②Analyzeits relationship of sustainable theory and construction recycling theory;③Summed up the inlaypractices aesthetic significance;④Discusses the mosaic techniques theory on the development ofthe theory of building recycling,In the meanwhile,Inlay techniques provide a theoreticalsupport. |
