In recent years, traffic accidents in Ningbo national and provincial highwayhappened frequently, indicating that local traffic situation is very serious. Based onman-machine engineering for accident-prone section in Ningbo national and provincialhighway, the management technology can eliminate traffic security hidden dangerintentionally, make maximum reduction of road accidents and improve traffic situation inminimal investment to make great economic and social benefits, which is under theconsideration of psychological and physiological characteristics of drivers.Analyzing the man-machine-environment system in detail initially, this papercomprehends drivers’ sense perception, attention, psychological and physiological conditionin traffic accidents, together with non-motor drivers’ and pedestrians’ traffic psychology.Additionnally, this paper elaborates the accident causes and safety design theory, providinga theoretical basis for accident causes analysis and management technology inaccident-prone section of highway.Using mathematical statistics method, the author analyzes the accident situation ofNingbo national and provincial highway and accidents happened in the access of thehighway, in order to point out the problem of the access in Ningbo national and provincialhighway, to raise influences of traffic safety such as spacing and density of the access,which provides foundation of the management in the access. According to the analysis ofthe advantages and disadvantages and the utility of methods which is conducting indomestic and foreign accidents, considering the characteristic of accidents happened inNingbo national and provincial highway, the author uses principal component analyzingmethod to research the cause of accidents in three typical accident-prone sections. Theseresearch make a direction and indicate the key point of accident-prone section controltechnology.Based on the analysis of traffic accidents distribution and causes, this paper usesman-machine engineering and traffic psychology theory to solve the problem discussed above. Through taking measures such as limiting energy control, setting inductions andwarnings, managing traffic in the access, surpervising traffic conflict, making insulation,tolerance design and comprehensive protection, etc., this paper proposes managementtechnology of accident-prone section of Ningbo national and provincial highway, whichconcentrates on the access spacing, location, density, width, traffic facilities, central stripdesign and access management policy.
