The Project canhelp with the social development of water resources generally, but it cannot solve theproblem of lacking water resources in China, which is also very important and strongmitigation measures. actually the problems of this project are more complex，it is notonly about a huge economic benefit of investment, but also about more engineeringconcerns about the impact on the environment.If only for project itself, long-distance watersupply impact of factors are complex too, water hammer is a big problem in thelong-distance water supply.especially Cavities Collapsing the hazards of long-distancewater pipelines of water hammer on the actual project and a variety of industrial pipelineproject is amazing, long-distance water transfer pipeline in the production practice arising inthe pipeline rupture,70%-80%of water column separation. Although the harm of waterhammer of cavities collapsing is more serious than the common traditional water hammerdamage, but so far, the protection and studying of it is not comprehensive enough, in orderto facilitate protection of water hammer accident and reduce the damage of water hammer asa method of analysis, this thesis is mainly based on the long-distance conveyance pressurepipe.So far there are many protective measures for long-distance conveyance of waterhammer damage, but the surge tank is recognized as the best protective measures to reducewater hammer damage. But different way surge tanks have different roles and purposes.way surge tank has a different point of view in a variety of practical engineering, this thesisanalyzed on the basis of previous study three surge tank between the respective strengthsand role in the actual project, we use the methods of computer simulation, detailed indiscussion of the surge tank, through the empirical investigation and analysis of practical engineering, to explore how to minimize the long-distance conveyance of water hammerdamage for long-distance water supply works effective protection, and hoping to have agood reference value and reference for similar long-distance water supply works, waterhammer protection. And also provide some experience in the use of surge tank practically.
