| As China’s economy increases rapidly, high-density land development become acommon feature of land use in many cities, which is the reason why the urban transportproblems are becoming much more critical. Land use is the source of transport needs. It’sthe key to solve China urban traffic problems that how to handle the relationship betweenhigh-density land development and transportation needs. This paper summarized the research on the relationship between transportation demandand land use in the domestic and foreign county. And on this basis, the paper revealed therelationship between land use in high-density development and transportation demand fromthe macro level, meso level, and microcosmic level. The first chapter summarized the research of the relationship between transportationdemand and land use in the domestic and foreign county, which was purposed to providetheoretical basis for the paper’s writing background. The second chapter mainly analyzedthe interactive relationship between transportation demand and land use based on thesummary of city land use planning theory. The third chapter interpreted the core concept ofthe land use in high-density development firstly, and then discoursed upon the pattern ofland use’s influence on the traffic mode. Thirdly, this thesis discussed the land use inhigh-density development how to affect transportation demand, including travel mode, travel volume, travel distance and travel distribution. Finally, the problems between the landin high-density development and city traffic system was analyzed and aimed at thesequestions the corresponding measures was proposed. The fourth chapter expounded therelationship between the land use in high-density and transportation demand in Xi’an,which used the land use pattern and land use structure to represent land use characteristics, including the land use structure was measured by "residence-employment-service" spatialpattern. The fifth chapter mainly analyzed land use in high-density development andtransportation demand at the micro level, which took Beilin-District in Xi’an as an example. The correlation relationship between land use characteristic of main index and the residentsall kinds of basic travel (commuting, shopping, and recreation) is analyzed, and the data was from the investigation of resident trip in Xi’an in2008. The sixth chapter is theconclusion, including the main conclusion of this paper and the problems need to be solvedin the further. |
