The Research On The Space And Its Contemporary Architecture Analogical Design Of Traditional Courtyard Dwellings In Fuzhou

Globalization has brought about the convergence of the urban landscape andarchitecture images, urban buildings all across the country have also been affected bythe modern architecture style, which makes many cities lose their originalcharacteristics.Especially the historical and cultural city, of which style and context isgradually vanishing in the process of urbanization.These phenomena aroused thereflection of the architecture industry and the society. In order to resist thephenomenon of “Similar images of the cities” and to create the city and architectureof regional characteristics, the theory of global-regional architecture, regionalism,critical regionalism, and category design patterns is put forward as the exploration.However, in the exploration of the category design, the methods of taking inspirationfrom traditional residential space to create the spirit of the place and unique space forthe contemporary architecture, is still under further studied. The proposition of thecategory design theory is a bridge to connect the tradition with the modernity ofarchitecture and cities. To carry on the proper core and inner spirit of traditionalresidential space and to apply it to contemporary architectural design, is not only thecontinuation of the traditional residential culture, but also an effective approach toexplore the methods of regionalism architecture design.This article is divided into four parts.The first part is the first chapter, whichaims to clarify the purpose, the significance,research contents and methods of thistopic,and reviewed the status of the domestic and foreign research. The second part isChapter two, which is in-depth explanation of the academic ideology of categorydesign theory, by means of the analysis of the related theory of regionalism, criticalregionalism, semiotics, phenomenology, and the spirit of place. The third part is themain body,which is divided into three chapters, presents the research of the categorydesign methods for the traditional residential space, associated with the aspects ofadaptation to climatic conditions, the natural elements and the continuation of the historical context.“The adaptation to climate conditions” is the theme of Chapterthree,which is divided into four tiny topics for discussion step-by-step.Firstly thestudy analyze the relevant theory and examples internal and abroad, secondly extractthe elements of the adaptation to the climatic conditions for the traditional residentialspace,thirdly take the category design example of contemporary architecture inFuzhou into account, to analyze how to integrate the elements of the traditionalresidential space to the modern architecture design. Theme of chapter four is"Associated with natural elements”, while the fifth chapter’s is " continuation of thehistorical context ".The same method is adopted that the theme is devided into tinytopics to analyze the related theory and case, to extract the category design elementsand the category design analysis of the contemporary architecture. The fourth parttakes the sixth chapter as the conclusion, which is summary and summarized of themain body,and the prospect of the category design for the Fuzhou traditionalcourtyard residential space.The study takes the discussion of the Fuzhou traditional courtyard residentialspace’s spatial form as the main clue, guided by the category design theory,associated with a variety of the relevant theory,analyzes the spatial prototype and thedesign elements of the Fuzhou traditional courtyard residential space.
