Research On Layout Planning And Evaluation Of Urumqi-Changji Highway Freight Hub

Along with the rapid development of the expressway network and the continuousprogress of the automobile industry, highway freight transport has become a foundation andpilot industry of social and economic development. And due to the accelerating economicglobalization and increasing competition in the market, building efficient, convenient and safehighway freight system and logistics distribution system, is not only as important metrics of aregional and national investment climate, but also increasingly become part of the industrialcompetitiveness in regional and national decision. But many cities is impossible to meet thetransport needs, due to lack of coordination between the level of development for highwayfreight transport and the modern requirements. The highway freight hub are being carried outis the key in urban transportation system, which is the place of collection and distributiongoods. Various kinds of transport mode can be connected to each other to form a harmoniouscomprehensive transport network through the presentation of those freight hubs.As the Urumqi–Changji economic integration speeding, regional economic cooperationhas become an inevitable trend. The construction of Urumqi-Changji highway freight hub isone of the means to improve national economy and social development of Urumqi-Changjiwhile raising its status.From the planning and layout of Urumqi-Changji highway freight hub, using qualitativeanalysis and quantitative analysis method, this article predicts the full social freight volume incharacteristic years and hub demand quantity under the background of economic integration.According to the predicted results, the layout planning of highway freight hub is done, andrailway and aviation transportation station are duly taken into account to maximize each kindof traffic means organic join. Finally, the layout evaluation is done from the technical,economic and sustainable development. Based on the evaluation results, construction plan andthe relevant guarantee measures are put forward for this area. Research results show that theviewpoint and the method in this article have good maneuverability and scientific validity.
