As we all know that desert highway is generally aeolian sand as roadbed filler. AeolianSand Subgrade strength, size is directly related to the quality and safety, the degree ofcompaction is to reflect an important indicator of the subgrade strength. China’s desert area ofhighway design and construction of the Guide provides: Road aeolian sand standard drydensity with heavy standard compaction determined on the compaction standard. However, issuch a method for determining reasonable? Gansu Ying-shuang desert highway is based onthe project, the two parameters maximum dry density and site density determining the degreeof compaction size. We are seeking more rational, economic standards. So we are intending tocarry out the following work:1、 Aeolian sand physical and chemical properties analysis;2、 Aeolian sand standard compaction test, vibration test at the bottom of two types ofmethods, by improving the test instrument, an increase of the bottom of the light tubevibration test, comparative analysis of the maximum dry density variation under differentexperimental conditions, and recommend the dry sand measured in different experimentalconditions, the maximum dry density value;3、Introduced relying on the Subgrade site construction technology, the improved cuttingring (hydrostatic soil measured) determination of the embankment site density;4、Analysis of subgrade compaction impact factors, combined with the roadbed on-siteconstruction conditions, the method of the current "Guide" set forth in this method measuredthe maximum dry density as standard dry density compaction standard of comparison.Economy, feasibility and embankment stability analysis, recommended a reasonable standardof compaction.
