In the paper, through the compaction test, the optimum moisture content and maximal dry density of aeolian sand are determined. When the dry density of three kind of sand sample of south Xinjiang and north Xinjiang are certain, which have different moisture content, through the straight scissors test, the effect of moisture content to the index of shear strength of c and is analyzed. Under the conditions of dry, optimum moisture content or half of optimum moisture content and three kind diameter of loading boards, the main factors relative to modulus of resilience are also studied through the test of modulus of resilience.Through the test of sine wave sweep, the character of response of aeolian sand due to motivation is gained. And, the relationship between their natural frequency of vibration and their degree of compaction is measured through the test of transient hammering. Furthermore, the attenuation rule of vibration wave in sand sample and clay soil is gained. In order to measure the optimum combination of exciting force and frequency of sand sample with different moisture content and degree of compaction, the machine of MTS fatigue test is used to simulate vibrating roller, the optimum combination measured can provide reference to study interacting of vibrating roller and aeolian sand.
