With the continuous improvement and perfection of the permanent magneticmaterials performance, Permanent Magnet motor has more and more application in thedefense, industry, agriculture and daily life etc. Particularly NdFeB thermal stability andcorrosion resistance are to improve. Moreover, the research and development experienceof PM motor is gradually mature.The PM motor can be divided into two kinds according to drive current waveform.They are Brushless Direct-Current Motor and Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motorrespectively. The control strategy of these two kinds of motor is discussed in this paper. Inorder to provide the correct design parameters of the control models for alternating currentspeed governing system, the establishment and analysis results of simulation model usingthe Matlab/Simulink toolbox will be able to provide the full theory basis and referencedata to the actual system design.For BLDCM, the paper introduces the motor structure and working principle firstly.The mathematical model of BLDCM is established based on some basic equations. Themain part is to design two regulators, which are the speed loop and the current loop.Eventually,the simulation result waveforms of the whole control system are obtained.The PMSM control system adopts co-simulation approach ignoring motormathematical model. Motor model, which is imported into control simulation softwarefrom electromagnetic analysis software, should count the change of model parameters.Therefore, the model is much closer to actual motor and can improve the accuracy of thesimulation. The strategy of id=0is adopted by comparing various vector control methods.Finally, the PMSM co-simulation system of double-closed loop is builded because of eachproper functional module, and the simulation results is displayed and analysed.
