As the energy crisis becomes worse, there are more and more attention paid onthe problem of energy consumption. The architectural energy consumption whichaccounts for35%of the global, plays an important role in alleviating energy crisis. itwill greatly reduce the consumption of energy, if we do optimized building design oflow carbon in the initial architectural stage. The article mainly discusses theoptimized design strategy of low carbon in the initial architectural stage in Xiamenarea, and wish that the research can make contribution to the low carbon constructionof Xiamen city.Firstly, based on a lot of literature research, the article sums up the general theoryand method of the low carbon design. Then, through the typical residentialinvestigation and technical drawings collection in Xiamen area, combining with theanalysis of typical residential buildings of the same climate zone at home and abroad,the article extracts the general design strategy of low carbon. Based on the analysisof the theory and practical research, the low carbon design strategy in the initial stageof residential building in Xiamen which should do optimized design from the siteplanning design, group layout design, single building design, sustainable energy use,computer simulation analysis and absorbing of the design idea of low carbon fromMinnan traditional architecture is put forward, otherwise the low carbon evaluationsystem of the residential buildings in Xiamen is also set up. The research will furtherimprove the strategy for low carbon design in the initial stage of the residentialbuilding in Xiamen.Finally, according to the above analysis, the article tries to put forward theprocess model of the low carbon design of residential building in Xiamen, whichcombined with optimized design of low carbon from in the early stage of theresidential building, computer simulation analysis and evaluation system in mutualfeedback to get optimized project.
