Research On The Application Of Waste Materials In Indoor And Outdoor Environment Design

The application of waste materials in indoor and outdoor environment design refers to that to make waste materials the elements of indoor and outdoor environment designs with using the design technique. Waste materials in indoor and outdoor environment design applications not only accords with the concept of green design research direction, but also provides a new angle of view for indoor and outdoor environment designsThis thesis focuses on four aspects as follows:Firstly, the basic research. It mainly includes:the reason for the waste materials applied in interior and exterior environmental, the definition of the concept, and feasibility analysis. With the development of the times, more and more waste items become a serious threat to the ecological environment, and the times also calls for characteristic and cultural heritage of the indoor and outdoor environment. Other values of Waste materials like being used in shaping the environment with a lot of technical difficulty, as well as the scope and types of features are shown that waste materials can be applied to the indoor and outdoor environment. Waste materials involved in this thesis refer to three categories:waste of life information, waste production facilities and dated building.Secondly, the theory study. To make waste materials reused in interior and exterior environment design belongs to the recycling design category, which is consistent with the idea of green design; it is the reproduction of the beauty in technology, history and culture, which accords with the modern esthetics and art theories the modern esthetics and art theories no longer regard beauty as the only standard to judge art, they pay more attention to deep connotation of artistic works. To make waste materials apply in interior and exterior environment reminds people of the beauty of the past life, which cater to modern people’s nostalgia plot and it is also maintained by the environmental psychology theory. Waste materials in indoor and outdoor environment design application shows a lot of value:the environmental value, aesthetic value, cultural and emotional value and commercial value. Thirdly, method research. Through the analysis of indoor and outdoor environmental design elements, it sums up the waste materials in indoor and outdoor environment design methods, which include:function replacement method, improved design method, situational reproduction method and repairing old buildings as the dated ones method. Repairing old buildings as the dated ones method is mainly proposed for some old architecture. Finally, the classic case study. Focusing on three types of waste materials the waste of life information, waste production facilities and dated building, the thesis makes Chinese Academy of Creative Industry Development Corporation, Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord, d’Orsay as classic cases to do research, and this thesis tries to make objective evaluation on the application of waste materials of those three case.Through the above researches, the author makes a conclusion:●The design and application of waste materials in indoor and outdoor environment is one of the important research directions of the green design.●The method of waste materials applied in interior and exterior environment is feasible.●The prospect of waste materials applied in interior and exterior environment is good.●The method of waste materials applied in interior and exterior environment design has to face to a lot of challenges.●Finally, the thesis makes its prospect for further research on the topic.
