| In all urban space, walking space became the nearest open space with human society, the walking space not only for human walk but also provide a open space for social communication, travel rest and entertainment. The view of walking space is effected by several factors. This paper through the research of walking space theory include current situation and both home and aboard to understand the current issues and different levels about walking space. After that recognize the relationship between walker and environment design. Try to raise up a concept of design "Continuity" which is come from analysis walkers’active factors and psychological need.The meaning of walking space in modern city is expression a kind of human care and human space revision. This paper from the continuity point of view do the research around walkers’ active factors and psychological need. And divide landscapes by walkers sense, discuss the relationship between these landscapes factors and continuity. Finally, use three instances to explain the environment application and the result of continuity. Hope the result of this paper will do many contributions for future safe, beauty and enjoyable future design of city walking space. |
