Design Research Of Walk-path Landscape In Urban Squares

Currently the fast development of urbanization construction has stimulated the population increase in cities,and the immense increase of urban construction density has substantially reduced the urban landscape space.While the urban squares,as the public landscape space in daily life,have gradually come to some issues like the singularity of landscape,lack of activity areas and shortage of facilities,which become more far away from the public demand of highquality landscape space.Walk-path landscape,part of the urban squares,would play an essential role in the supplementary of landscape exhibition and improvement of landscape function,and it is an effective way to alleviate the urban landscape resource contradiction and improve the quality of urban square landscape space.Though the design research and practice of walk-path landscape has tended to be professional and systematic,there are still some unavoidable issues in current stage.And it requires the scholar and designers to conduct analysis and research accordingly to put forward some solutions so as to improve the design theory and construction methodology of urban square landscapes.This paper is taking walk-path landscape in urban square as the research object and expounds relevant conceptions in the walk-path landscape in urban square.Through the systematic analysis and research of walk-path landscape in urban square,the author will accordingly resolve the design issues in the walk-path landscape in urban square.In the process of research,firstly the features and types of walking activity in walk-path landscape of urban square are to be analyzed to seek out the diverse requirement of the public.Secondly,the author will make detailed investigation and research plan,select the representative city and conduct site investigation in the walk-path landscape,then the author will make research on the environmental features and construction forms of the walk-path landscape in urban squares.Finally,through the analysis of design methodology of typical examples at home and abroad,the author elaborates on the design strategy from the perspective of design planning,space construction,elements as well as humanistic and personalized expressions.The design of walk-path landscape in urban square shall follow the principle of overall coordination,people orientation,art ecology and cultural inheritance,aiming at the exhibition of environmental features of walk-path landscape in urban square and meeting the diverseactivity requirement of the public,to create the humanistic,high-quality and diverse walk-path landscape space environment.And this paper is intent to provide a helpful reference for the walk-path landscape design in the urban squares.
