With the accelerating of the modernization and the coming of the aging society,the problem of population aging has become one of the biggest problems of China.The older are changing the traditional way for providing for the aged,this makes the elderly faced how to separate living and recreation.The elderly is different from young people in physiological and psychological,along with the growth of the age,they face more risks of disease and travel.China has a huge number of elderly population,and they have particularity and complexity,hence,the problem solving the needs of elderly has become a pressing issue.The elderly walking products are widely spread in China,and has a huge consumer market.But the exiting problems in elderly walking products,make the elderly facing increasingly complicate.Thus,the outdoor walking products designed for the elderly must have the safety,comfort and functionality,and the important factor is that throughout the course of the ease of use.We consider the innovation of product by studying the different stages of life and habits of the elderly.The design center on the demand of consumers,so that we can meet the individual needs of consumers.Segmentation of consumer groups,compare the personalized difference between them,and give the products the emotional connotation.We find the direction of product design from the perspective of human studies,guide the process of product design.This paper analyzes the background,purpose and significance of elderly walkers product based on the field of humanity and ergonomics.Through investigation the application status and development trend in the design field of humane theoretical,point out the impact and significance for elderly walkers product of the humane theoretical.By the in-depth analyzing between the elderly physical characteristics and psychological characteristics and the relationship of design trends,predict the design direction of elderly walker products.The design objects locate in shopping cart,crutches,walkers and other products,explore their development status,and summarizes the advantages and disadvantages.According to the different use of environment,consumption level and the elderly living habits,optimize and innovate for the product function,and eventually we design several groups elderly walker products.
